A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it’s surprisingly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click. All the email addresses that you have created will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll find a mini logo handily situated directly next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the contextual menu that will appear. In case any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
